Steps to accommodate a date barrel on a self-inking stamp  You will need a self-inking dater and a Philips head screwdriver to do this. If your self-inking stamp is not printing properly, there is often an easy solution. If the problem is with the date bands not printing properly, then it may be possible that they are no longer level with the rubber die. Turn your stamp on its head, and you will see two philips head screws. Turning your stamp on the head can tighten these until you bring the date barrel level with the die.
